1. When Air-Marshal Sir Victor Goddard Unintentionally Entered Another Universe!

J. H. Brennan discusses a 'chance' time travel story in his book Time Travel: A New Perspective, which will undoubtedly stick with you for a long time. According to the author, Air-Marshal Sir Victor Goddard inadvertently flew into a parallel dimension. Sir Goddard was assigned to visit a dormant airbase in Drem, near Edinburg, Scotland, in 1935, when he was still a Wing Commander. Sir Goddard discovered the airbase in disrepair while flying above it, with animals grazing on the wild grass that had already made its way through the tarmac. It was in utter disarray. Later, while flying his biplane, he encountered some difficulties due to the inclement weather. To avoid an accident, Sir Goddard opted to return to the airbase until the weather improved. The torrential downpour abruptly gave way to dazzling sunshine as he approached the airbase. As if that wasn't strange enough, he also saw that the airbase was in perfect working order! He even saw mechanics in blue dungarees working on the yellow jets that were parked on the runway. The planes were not those used by the air force at the time. In fact, Sir Goddard didn't recognize one of them. It's funny because immediate renovation of the site couldn't have been possible, and more significantly, these people weren't even dressed in the khaki colored uniforms that were the norm back then. In addition, the Air Force painted all of its planes silver rather than yellow.

Four years later, Goddard, still perplexed as to what the hell was going on, received the shock of his life. Europe was at war, and he happened to return to Drem. But he saw all he saw four years before in 1935 this time. People in blue trousers doing the same with yellow planes. Complete déjà vu.

He even tracked down the plane he couldn't place before: a Miles Magister. Sir Goddard, did you fly four years into the future? Sceptics believe Goddard was merely confused about his location. But that's an overly simplistic explanation. Could an acclaimed officer like him make such a simple error? Sir Goddard died in 1987, so I'm afraid we'll never know.

2. L.C's Journey Into The Past!

Ken Meaux's story "Time Traveller" was featured in Strange Magazine 2 in 1988. The horrifying statements of a man known as L.C. was the subject of the article. After having lunch in the Southwest Louisiana town of Abbeville, L.C and his business associate, Bob (false name), were travelling along route 167 towards the Oil Centre city of Lafayette in 1969. It was October 20th, around 1:30 PM in the afternoon. The weather was ideal, with a clear sky and a little breeze. They noticed an ancient turtleback car driving quite slowly ahead of them. They were interested by the car, which neither of them had seen previously.

Very one-of-a-kind and certainly ancient. But here's the catch. Despite its vintage appearance, the vehicle was in excellent condition. The two passed the vehicle, but not before stopping down right next to it to inspect it thoroughly. The car had a large, bright orange licence plate with the year "1940" prominently printed on it, which was unusual because vintage cars like the one in issue were not allowed to be driven on the road unless they were part of a formal procession. Things only got stranger from there. The driver was a young woman dressed in what appeared to be a "vintage" 1940s attire, complete with hat and coat. There was also a tiny child clad in a big coat and a cap. The lady began to fear as they approached the car. One could see her face turning pale with fright. She began nervously looking back and forth, as if she were in the midst of nowhere. She was almost crying, as if she truly needed assistance. L.C asked whether she needed any assistance, to which she replied in the affirmative. But she never rolled down the window or even looked him in the eyes. After many requests for her to stop, they finally spotted her pull over to the side of the road. L.C. and Bob drove right by her and stopped over in front of her. But when they turned around, the truck had vanished. Poof! Then he vanished into thin air. It seemed impossible to disappear like this on a highway with no traffic.

L.C and Bob chose to continue driving with their shock and inability to describe what had just occurred. While they were continuing on Highway 167, they witnessed another new car pass a very old car at a very slow speed. It was supposedly so slow that the automobiles appeared to have come to a halt. The identical thing happened when the new car pulled over in front of the car. It came to a halt and then vanished. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. Even the guy in the opposite car was taken aback. The three began to describe what they had witnessed. They began to walk around the neighborhood. The third guy insisted on reporting this to the police because it was a missing person case, according to him. L.C. and Bob refused, in part because they had no idea where the woman, child, and car had gone. If the third man went to the cops without these two, everyone would assume he was crazy. But he exchanged phone numbers and addresses with them and continued to discuss the situation with them to ensure he didn't lose his mind. Is she a time traveler from the past who moved ahead in time? Or could she have been a person from the past who was caught in time?

3. The News Broke 11 years Before it Occured!

News organizations would kill for a story that was eleven years ahead of its time. But, to be honest, if this happened to me, I'd lose my mind. This spine-chilling story was included in Ron Edwards', C. B. Colby's, and John Macklin's book The Little Giant Book of Eerie Thrills and Unspeakable Chills. According to the authors, in 1932, newspaper reporter J. Bernard Hutton and photographer Joachim Brandt were assigned to cover the Hamburg shipyard in Germany for a feature story. After finishing their mission, they were about to leave when they heard the sound of aircraft engines and looked up to find the sky filled of fighter planes. The anti-aircraft batteries opened fire, and bombs began to fall. This place has suddenly turned into a combat zone. Things were exploding, buildings were falling apart and death and chaos reigned supreme. Before going out to save their lives, Hutton asked a security guard if there was anything they could do to help, but was told to leave the area right away. Things changed as the two travelled towards Hamburg.

Everything returned to normal as the sky cleared. There was no blood or violence, and the buildings were in good condition. Nobody appeared to be concerned. Nothing seemed to have happened. When Hutton and Brandt glanced back at the shipyard, they saw nothing wrong with it. There is no damage or smoke coming from the buildings. Shocking. Obviously, the newspaper office did not believe the two. Even the photographs Brandt had taken during the attack revealed that everything was fine. The shipyard appeared to be brand new. Their coworkers discounted their allegation, claiming that they must have stopped on their way to get a drink and that the alcohol was causing them to see things.

Bernard Hutton later relocated to London soon before the outbreak of World War II. What he read in the papers one morning in 1943 nearly stopped his heart. It was a story about a successful raid on the Hamburg shipyard by a Roy Air Force unit. The likeness was uncanny. This was an identical replica of what he and Brandt had experienced 11 years before. How?

4. The Person From Taured!

This is a very unusual account that has gone unanswered. The plot goes as follows:
A guy arrived at Haneda Airport, also known as Tokyo International Airport, on a sweltering afternoon in July 1954. This man, described as a Caucasian man with a beard, was French, but he was also fluent in other languages, including Japanese. There are now two versions of the narrative. According to some, the man handed over his passport to be stamped by Japanese immigration agents after the officers recognized that, while the passport appeared to be in perfect condition, the country where it was issued - "Taured" - did not exist in real life!

In another account, the man stated that he was from Taured, and when the authorities refused to believe him, he produced his passport. In any case, the individual did his best to persuade the authorities that Taured actually exist in real life. He stated it was situated between France and Spain. He asserted that his hometown was not new either, claiming that it had been around for 1000 years! When given a global map, the guy eventually pointed to the territory that is now the principality of Andorra. He looked perplexed as to why the authorities insisted on naming this place Andorra. The individual was eventually arrested by immigration officers on suspicion of being a criminal. He was sent to a nearby hotel to be interrogated further and figure out what the hell was going on. Outside his chamber, two guards were stationed. But guess what occurred when they went to check on the man the next day? Poof! Vanished. There was no proof of his escape. Even the documentation he was holding, which could have served as confirmation of this man's existence, vanished.

Is it possible that he was a time traveler? Or, even worse, is he in a parallel world where Andorra is known as Taured? More reasonably, all of this may be the work of a brilliant storyteller. Unfortunately, there is no way to find out.

5. The Man Who Saw Himself!

Hkan Nordkvist, 36, returned home on August 30, 2006, to discover his kitchen filled with water. He crawled under the sink to remedy the problem, thinking it was nothing more than a leak. But when he crawled inside the cabinet, he discovered that it just kept going. So he crawled on till he came to a halt at the end of the tunnel. When he stepped outside, Nordkvist recognized he had arrived in the future, namely 2042. And, strangely, he met himself in the future, an old 72-year-old self. Future Noirdkvist was unsurprised to meet this individual.

Above and beyond that, he told him things only he could have known. They even shared a tattoo. Of course, the tattoo on the future guy was a little faded. They even posed for a photo together. Hmm, that's fascinating. Although, to be honest, it sounds more like an acid trip, but who are we to judge?

6. Hipster Who Travels Through Time!

Examine this image carefully. Is there a problem with it? This 1941 photograph was discovered on the website of the Virtual Museum of Canada. The image is said to portray the early 1940s reopening of the South Fork Bridge at Gold Bridge, British Columbia, Canada. While this is a totally ordinary photograph, one cannot help but notice the gentleman dressed in hipster garb. He doesn't seem like a "member of the crew" here, does he? Could he have gone back in time?

7. The Man Who went back in time to become a Wall Street Con Man!

On January 28, 2003, a man named Andrew Carlssin was arrested and held by authorities on Wall Street for insider trading. It's truly insane. Andrew went from having $800 to making, wait for it, $350 million in the stock market during a two-week period. It's as if whatever he invested in became gold. Making the kind of money he did is practically impossible. He was arrested by cops on suspicion of possessing illegal insider knowledge. When the cops asked Andrew why and how he did it, they weren't anticipating what he had to say.

He claimed to be a 2256-year-old man. He knew exactly how the stocks would perform since he was from the future. Obviously, the cops felt this person was saying nonsense. But, get this, soon after he was freed on bail, the man vanished from the face of the Earth, and he couldn't be discovered after repeated attempts. Was he being truthful? Who knows, but Carlssin accurately anticipated the date of the US invasion of Iraq.
